Zusammenfassung: We studied 577 suspected cases of influenza from January 2014 to October 2017, of which 46 were positive for Influenza A H1N1, with a percentage of total positivity of 7.9% during the period studied. The year with the highest morbidity due to Influenza A H1N1 was 2014, with 60.9%. The highest lethality was found in 2017 with 38.4%, and the lowest in 2014 with 7.1%. The most affected sex was male with 54%. The week with the highest frequency was week 5 (January 29 to February 4) with 26% of cases. The age group with the highest morbidity was that of infants (28 days to 23 months) with 50% of all cases (23/46 cases). The highest case fatality rate was presented in the Adolescents group (12 to 17 years old) with 50% (1 / 2cases). The symptom most frequently found in patients confirmed with Influenza A H1N1 was cough being found in 97.82% of the cases, followed by fever (93.47%), dyspnea (73.91), and rhinorrhea (71.73%). The majority of patients were hospitalized within the first 7 days after starting the symptoms (89%), with a higher frequency of patients hospitalized on the 5th day of the onset of clinical symptoms (19.5%). A 100% lethality was registered in the patients admitted to the 8th, 15th and 24th days of the beginning of the clinical picture. Patients admitted within the first 4 days of evolution had 0% lethality. It was found that 20 of the 46 patients (43.5%) with confirmed diagnosis of influenza A H1N1 had comorbidities, of these the most frequent was bronchial asthma present in 13% of the cases (6/46 patients).
Se estudiaron 577 casos sospechosos de influenza de Enero 2014 a Octubre 2017, de los cuales 46 fueron positivos para Influenza A H1N1, con un porcentaje de positividad total de 7.9% durante el periodo estudiado. El año con mayor morbilidad por Influenza A H1N1 fue el 2014, con un 60.9%. La mayor letalidad se encontró en 2017 con 38.4%, y la menor en 2014 con 7.1%. El sexo más afectado fue el masculino con un 54%. La semana epidemiológica con mayor frecuenica fue la semana 5 (29 enero a 4 febrero) con un 26% de los casos. El grupo etario con mayor morbilidad fue el de Lactantes (28 días a 23 meses) con un 50% de todos los casos (23/46 casos). La tasa de letalidad más alta se presentó en el grupo Adolescentes (12 a 17 años) con un 50% (1/2casos). El síntoma encontrado con mayor frecuencia en los pacientes confirmados con Influenza A H1N1 fue la tos encontrándose en un 97.82% de los casos, seguido de fiebre (93.47%), disnea (73.91), y rinorrea (71.73%). La mayoría de los pacientes se hospitalizaron dentro de los primeros 7 días de iniciado el cuadro (89%), con una mayor frecuencia de pacientes hospitalizados al 5° día de inicio de los síntomas clínicos (19.5%). Se registró una letalidad del 100% en los pacientes ingresados al 8°, 15° y 24° días de iniciado el cuadro clínico. Los pacientes ingresados dentro de los primeros 4 días de evolución, presentaron 0% letalidad. Se encontró que 20 de los 46 pacientes (43.5%) con diagnóstico confirmado de influenza A H1N1 presentaron comorbilidades, de estas la más frecuente fue el asma bronquial presente en 13% de los casos (6/46 pacientes).
