Abstract

The study of the development and growth is, in itself, an interdisciplinary project; the physical growth is one of the changes that the boy experiences with the course of the time. The development of the organism, constitutes the vital law of all the alive beings. In him it intervenes the harmonic action of the growth and the differentiation. We understand for growth the increase of the specific mass of an organism through the number changes and cellular size that lead to the increase of stature. The differentiation, on the other hand, it is understood as the correlative phenomenon that consists on the generation, starting from a cell pluripotent and indiferenciada, of groups of specialized cells that group later on to constitute fabrics and organs, forming an organism (1).

El estudio del desarrollo y crecimiento es, en sí mismo, un proyecto interdisciplinario; el crecimiento físico es uno de los cambios que el niño experimenta con el transcurso del tiempo. El desarrollo del organismo, constituye la ley vital de todos los seres vivos. En él interviene la acción armónica del crecimiento y la diferenciación. Entendemos por crecimiento el aumento de la masa específica de un organismo a través de los cambios de número y tamaño celular, que conducen al aumento de estatura. La diferenciación, por otro lado, es entendida como el fenómeno correlativo que consiste en la generación, a partir de una célula pluripotente e indiferenciada, de grupos de células especializadas que se agrupan posteriormente para constituir tejidos y órganos, formando un organismo (1).
