Abstract

In previous times, when the Standard technique or Edgewise were the philosophy used for the orthodontic treatment, the maximum effectiveness of the treatment resided in the ability of the clinical one to carry out the correct cuffs in the wire arch and this way to confer the position wanted to the teeth. With the step of the time and the appearance of the pre-adjusted systems, two postures arose regarding the key of the success of the treatment, the correct position of Bracket. If the clinical one is able to get a good position the later brackets relocation it was avoided to correct the position radicular, to obtain spaces healthy interproximales, later stability to the treatment, aesthetics and correct function in the patient.

En épocas anteriores, cuando la técnica Standard o Edgewise era la filosofía usada para el tratamiento ortodóntico, la máxima efectividad del tratamiento residía en la habilidad del clínico para realizar los dobleces correctos en el arco de alambre y así conferir la posición deseada a los dientes. Con el paso del tiempo y la aparición de los sistemas pre-ajustados, surgieron dos posturas respecto a la clave del éxito del tratamiento, la correcta posición del Bracket. Si el clínico es capaz de conseguir una buena posición se evitara la posterior reubicación de brackets para corregir la posición radicular, obtener espacios interproximales sanos, estabilidad posterior al tratamiento, estética y función correcta en el paciente.
