Resumen : The objectives of this study were; isolating and identifying microorganisms Biofilm installed on the surface of adhesion material for orthodontics. Determine which of the four adhesive materials has increased bacterial attachment to the surface. Indicate which of the four adhesive material is most effective to prevent bacterial adhesion to the surface. Determine which bacteria is found most frequently. Materials and Methods: In study 4 male patients over 18 years of age were used, these patients had orthodontic adhesive materials placed on the buccal surface of three upper molars and / or lower, a total of 12 teeth. 2 resin and 2 were used to glass ionomer. The resins were; Transbond plus color change 3M, Ivoclar Heliosit Orthodontic and glass ionomer were; Fuji Ortho LC, 3M ionomer Ketac Cem. By Gram stains and cultures of strains of bacteria smears of each material was placed on the teeth and identified under a microscope were observed and photographed bacteria. Results: According to the results observed in cultures obtained from the four patients and the different types of orthodontic adhesive systems used in the present study, we observed; 3M Transbond in color change to plus 24 Enterococcus faecium hrs. at 48Hrs observed in any microorganism growing resin was not isolated and monthly aggregation Streptococcus mitis / oralis was observed. In Heliosit Orthodontic Ivoclar resin to 24 Hrs adherence to microorganisms was negative at 48 hrs. found Enterococcus faecalis and Streptococcus sanguis month.
