El conocimiento de enfermeria como determinante en la integración de la identidad profesional

Abstract

The Profession according to Wilfred Carr and Stephen Kenis (2000) is characterized to be able to create knowledge that is used in the exercise of the same and finds in the investigation the suitable methods and procedures for the generation of the science of the specific profession. The case of nursing has occurred that has slowly incorporated the method and theories of nursing, together with the fulfillment of the different functions that away the nurse each time more care of the patient, which has led to further deterioration of the Professional identity, aggravated by the lack of association, solidarity and integration of ethical, political, cultural, scientific and legal knowledge, in the exercise of the profession. General Objective: To analyze the relationship between the assimilation of nursing knowledge and the integration of professional identity in the nurses of the Women's Hospital. Material and methods. Methodology: This is a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. The variables were knowledge and nursing identity. The universe of study consists of 201 nurses from the women's hospital and worked with the entire population. Which means that we worked with the entire population. The total number of respondents was 100 nurses. It was necessary to build from the operationalization of variables, a self-administered questionnaire with closed, dichotomous and multiple-choice questions. The attitudes around care practice were the indicators of the research variables and the responses were measured with the Guttman scales.

La Profesión según Wilfred Carr y Stephen Kenis (2000) se caracteriza por ser capaz de crear conocimientos que se emplean en el ejercicio de la misma y encuentra en la investigación los métodos y procedimientos adecuados para la generación de la ciencia de la profesión específica. El caso de enfermería ha ocurrido que se ha incorporado lentamente el método y las teorías de enfermería, aunado al cumplimiento de las diferentes funciones que alejan a la enfermera cada, vez más del cuidado al paciente, el cual ha conducido a un mayor deterioro de la identidad profesional, agravado por la falta de agremiación, de solidaridad y de integración del conocimiento ético, político, cultural, científico y legal, en el ejercicio de la profesión. Objetivo General: Analizar la relación existente entre la asimilación de conocimientos de enfermería y la integración de la identidad profesional en las enfermeras del Hospital de la Mujer. Material y métodos. Metodología: Es un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal. Las variables fueron los conocimientos y la identidad de enfermería. El universo de estudio lo conforman 201 enfermeras del hospital de la mujer y se trabajó con el toda la población. Que quiere decir con que se trabajó con toda la población. El total de encuestadas aplicadas fueron a 100 enfermeras. Fue necesario construir a partir de la operacionalización de variables, un cuestionario auto aplicado con preguntas cerradas, dicotómicas y de opción múltiple. Las actitudes alrededor de la práctica asistencial fueron los indicadores de las variables de la investigación y se midieron las respuestas con el escalograma de Guttman.
