Propuesta de un modelo de turismo rural como alternativa productiva en el municipio de Coahuayana

Abstract

Rural tourism has gained ever-increasing worldwide interest, so that each time a larger number of countries pursuing tourism modeling in order to maximize benefits to host communities of rural tourism in Mexico and this situation is the exception, where the Secretary of Tourism of the federation and the state have created a series of policies and guidelines which are intended to create models of tourism in the municipalities. Coahuayana Township of Hidalgo, Michoacán is located in the coastal area of Michoacán but despite that has a great tourism potential it failed to develop according to their potential, which is why this county which is one of the most marginalized of the state was considered for the study of this research, for which we performed a detailed demographic study which has demonstrated that the conditions to create a proposal for a model of rural tourism. Diagnosis was made of the situation in the municipality of Coahuayana which is relevant to create an appropriate strategy to develop a model of rural tourism, as if the decision to use tourism as a potentiator rural development is needed that the quality of planning and the strategy itself. Within the strategy we propose the creation of a totally different tourism product as tourism with its multiplier effect will increase the income levels of the population in addition to drag on other sectors of the economy. It is important to establish that the proposal will contribute to the development of a competitive and sustainable rural tourism, which is able to adapt to new demands with new product innovation in supplement to traditional. That is why the strategy of creating a model suitable for rural tourism Coahuayana municipality aims at the development.

El turismo rural ha cobrado cada día mayor interés a nivel mundial, es así que cada momento un mayor número de países se preocupan por crear modelos turísticos con el fin de maximizar los beneficios para las comunidades receptoras de turismo rural, y en México esta situación no es la excepción ya que la Secretaria de Turismo de la federación así como la del estado han creado una serie de políticas y guías con las cuales se pretende crear modelos turísticos en los municipios del país. El municipio de Coahuayana de Hidalgo; Michoacán se encuentra ubicado en la zona costera del estado de Michoacán sin embargo y a pesar de que cuenta con un gran potencial turístico el mismo no se ha podido desarrollar de acuerdo a su potencial, es por esto que este municipio el cual es uno de los más marginados del estado fue considerado para el estudio de esta investigación, para lo cual se realizó un estudio sociodemográfico detallado en el cual se demostró que se cuenta con las condiciones para crear una propuesta de un modelo de turismo rural. Se formuló un diagnóstico de la situación que vive el municipio de Coahuayana lo cual es relevante para crear una estrategia adecuada para desarrollar un modelo de turismo rural, ya que si se toma la decisión de utilizar el turismo rural como un potencializador de desarrollo se hace necesaria que la calidad de la planeación y de la propia estrategia. Es importante establecer que la propuesta contribuirá al desarrollo de un turismo rural competitivo y sostenible, que sea capaz de adaptarse a las nuevas demandas con la innovación de nuevos productos en complemento con los tradicionales. Es por eso que la estrategia de creación de un modelo de turismo rural adecuado para el municipio de Coahuayana tiene como meta el desarrollo del mismo.
