Abstract

Mexico is a country rich in culture, and part of this culture is expressed in its old buildings that are faithful testimonies of the past of our society, they have exceptional values that enrich not only our culture but also our identity. Unfortunately, a large part of these buildings has deteriorations and / or alterations that put the knowledge they carry at risk and, therefore, with the loss of knowledge of our past leads us to the impoverishment of our culture and identity. The case, San Nicolás Obispo temple, is one of these heritage properties that belong to us as Mexicans, with characteristics that are rare today, and as a result its importance increases; Despite this, it is a cultural asset little known by citizens outside this town (which bears the same name as the temple) where it is located. However, not only is disclosure what this property needs, it presents other problems that need to be addressed in order to preserve it for future generations and future studies that are needed and not only from the branch of architecture or restoration but also from others. areas of knowledge in which it has an impact, as in history. It is from this need that this document is prepared, proposing a proposal for the solution of its material and preservation problems. The patrimonial assets belong to us, but, just as they belong to us, we are also responsible for them. Let us act with conscience, responsibility and commitment.

México es un país rico en cultura, y parte de esta cultura se ve expresada en sus edificaciones antiguas que son testimonios fieles del pasado de nuestra sociedad, poseen valores excepcionales que enriquecen no solo nuestra cultura sino también nuestra identidad. Lamentablemente gran parte de estos edificios se encuentran con deterioros y/o alteraciones que ponen en riesgo el conocimiento que portan y, por lo tanto, con la pérdida del conocimiento de nuestro pasado nos dirige al empobrecimiento de nuestra cultura e identidad. El caso del templo de San Nicolás Obispo es uno de estos inmuebles patrimoniales que nos pertenecen como mexicanos, con características que son poco comunes en la actualidad, y a consecuencia de ello se incrementa su importancia; a pesar de esto, es un bien cultural poco conocido por los ciudadanos externos a esta tenencia de Morelia (que lleva el mismo nombre que el templo) donde se encuentra ubicado. Sin embargo, no solo es divulgación lo que necesita este inmueble, presenta otros problemas que necesitan ser atacados para poder preservarlo para las futuras generaciones y los futuros estudios que se necesiten y no solo halando desde la rama de la arquitectura o restauración sino también desde otras áreas del conocimiento en las cuales tiene impacto, como en la historia. Es a partir de esta necesidad que se elabora este documento planteando una propuesta para la solución de sus problemas materiales y de preservación. Los bienes patrimoniales nos pertenecen, pero, así como nos pertenecen también somos responsables de ellos. Actuemos con conciencia, responsabilidad y compromiso.
