El crecimiento económico, a través de la educación, empleo, innovación, exportaciones e importaciones, en México como en los países emergentes del BRICS 2007-2017

Abstract

This research work is based on identifying the relationship between the factors of education, employment and innovation of the Global Competitiveness Index, exports and exports with the development of wealth in Mexico and the emerging countries of BRICS, as well as distinguishing the weight that each factor maintained during the period, 2007-2017. In order to carry out this objective, two panel data econometric models were developed (the first trying to explain the general hypothesis and the second the specific hypotheses) estimated through the Panel Corrected Standard Errors (PCSE) method. To get to this point a series of regressions and tests were performed. The results obtained after measuring both models differ somewhat from each other and partially accept the general hypothesis and the particular hypotheses, as the former indicates that higher education and training, exports and imports are positively related to the Real GDP (economic growth) in the economies of Mexico and the BRICS; While in the second model, which aims to contrast the general and specific hypotheses,, it indicates that the quantity and quality in higher education (of the pillar in Higher education and training), the efficient use of talent (of the labor market pillar as a variable of employment), innovative capacity, the acquisition of advanced technology by the government (from the innovation pillar), imports and exports also show a positive correspondence. This leads us to conclude that the application in certain areas of education, employment and innovation have favorable repercussions, as well as exports and imports for the increase in REAL GDP.

El presente trabajo de investigación se basa en identificar la relación entre los factores de educación, trabajo e innovación del Índice de Competitividad Global, las importaciones y exportaciones con el desarrollo de la riqueza de México y los países emergentes del BRICS, así como distinguir el peso que cada factor mantuvo durante el período, 2007-2017. Para poder llevar a cabo este objetivo, se desarrollaron dos modelos econométricos de datos panel (el primero tomando en cuenta la hipótesis general y el segundo las hipótesis especificas) estimados a través del método Errores Estándar Corregidos para Panel (Panel Corrected Standard Errors o PCSE), para llevar a este punto se realizaron una serie de regresiones y pruebas. Los resultados obtenidos tras la medición de ambos modelos difieren un poco entre sí y aceptan parcialmente la hipótesis general y las hipótesis particulares, al indicar el primero, que la educación superior y la capacitación, las exportaciones y las importaciones guardan una relación positiva, sobre el PIB real (crecimiento económico) en las economías de México y los BRICS; mientras que en el segundo modelo, que tiene como fin contrastar las hipótesis generales y específicas , indica que la cantidad y calidad en educación superior (del pilar en Educación superior y capacitación), el uso eficiente del talento (del pilar de mercado laboral como variable de empleo), la capacidad innovadora, la adquisición de tecnología avanzada por parte del gobierno (del pilar en innovación), importaciones y exportaciones también guardan una correspondencia positiva. Lo que nos lleva a concluir que la aplicación en ciertas áreas de la educación, el empleo y la innovación tienen repercusiones favorables, así como las exportaciones y las importaciones para el aumento del PIB REAL.
