Abstract

The most important variables to consider in modern road engineering are the slope of the land on which the road is built, the ability of the pavement to withstand the expected load, the prediction of the intensity of use of the road, the nature of the soil that supports it and the composition and thickness of the paving structure.

Las variables más importantes a tener en cuenta en la ingeniería de caminos moderna son la inclinación de la tierra sobre la que se construye la carretera, la capacidad del pavimento para soportar la carga esperada, la predicción de la intensidad de uso de la carretera, la naturaleza del suelo que la sostiene y la composición y espesor de la estructura de pavimentación.
