Abstract

The complex nature of soils makes it necessary to establish a certain differentiation between their behavior, when they are tested in the laboratory under simple and well-defined conditions, and their real behavior in the field, where the conditions mentioned may not be exactly the same as those imposed in the test.

La naturaleza compleja de los suelos obliga a establecer cierta diferenciación entre su comportamiento, cuando son ensayados en el laboratorio bajo condiciones simples y bien definidas, y su comportamiento real en el terreno, donde las condiciones mencionadas pueden no ser exactamente iguales a las impuestas en el ensayo.
