Los prototipos femeninos en la prensa literaria durante el Porfiriato en Michoacán

Abstract

El precedente inmediato de esta investigación fueron los análisis realizados en la tesis de licenciatura sobre las configuraciones sociales del Sujeto Femenino en el discurso literario y su refracción social 1 , básicamente lo que respecta al empoderamiento de las mujeres encontrado en La Quijotita y su Prima de J. Joaquín Fernández de Lizardi, hizo me interesara en la configuración del Deber-Ser del Sujeto femenino 2 desde su propia perspectiva, ya que su rol social y cultural asignado por el orden hegemónico patriarcal vigente seguía afianzando expectativas por un lado, pero por otro, transgrediéndose. El simple hecho de que algunas mujeres pudieran publicar su discurso a través de la prensa literaria michoacana nos habla de transformación de roles y con ello de las primeras rupturas a su papel asignado. Considerando que las publicaciones literarias durante el porfiriato en nuestro Estado fueron un medio eficaz para la difusión de ideología –ya que los periódicos de toda índole fueron los medios de comunicación por excelencia– por las diferentes convergencias discursivas existentes –convivencia de discursos diferentes, principalmente de convicciones liberales y conservadoras– considero de importancia el tema presentado. Ésta radica justamente en la posibilidad de lograr un estudio crítico de los modos de representación discursiva de las mujeres que permita comprender el cómo y el desde cuándo se puede hablar de transformaciones del Deber-Ser del Sujeto femenino a través de estos discursos. Si bien anteriormente se han realizado investigaciones de este material por diferentes disciplinas, los estudiosos de la prensa literaria porfiriana 3 por lo general no han abordado el tema desde una perspectiva de género, que es el enfoque que estamos proponiendo. El interés de este trabajo es el estudio de la imagen femenina y su transformación, desde las concepciones tradicionales a las más vanguardistas, así como desde los puntos de vista masculinos y femeninos.
