Abstract

The oldest traces of humanity back many thousands of years. However it was only about 10 thousand years ago when the most important changes in their lifestyle , customs and behavior of human beings were verified. During the long period of the Paleolithic ( Old Stone ) , prehistoric man was still unable to build a place to shelter from the weather and natural hazards; why for thousands of years took refuge in caves. These early men as helpless before nature , began to develop their intelligence to survive. Gathered wild fruits , hunted , used fire and developed their first stone tools and weapons and hueso.Es Neolithic man ( Old Stone Age ) which began the practice of animal domestication and cultivation of land . Their utensils were of polished stone and were more resistant . They invented pottery and weaving household items. The farming man forced to abandon their nomadic life . The more sedentary existence that human groups facilitated to grow and form partnerships with an increasingly complex organization. Neolithic man , abandoning natural shelters featuring caves and caverns, was forced to build his own room to survive. This technical initiative also inaugurated the engineering profession. With her man was better able to master the elements and environment. Through observation, the early builders naturally found the simplest laws of the stability of the structure and the strength of materials . Making use of his wits began to build , in addition to their houses , fortifications , barriers, bridges, dams and canals, which over time have been improving .

Las huellas más antiguas de la humanidad se remontan a muchos miles de años. Sin embargo fue sólo hace unos 10 mil años cuando se verificaron las transformaciones más importantes en su forma de vida, costumbres y comportamiento de los seres humanos. Durante el largo periodo del Paleolítico (piedra antigua), el hombre prehistórico era incapaz todavía de construir un sitio donde resguardarse del clima y de los peligros naturales; por ello durante miles de años se refugió en cuevas. Estos primeros hombres, tan desamparados ante la naturaleza, comenzaron a desarrollar su inteligencia para sobrevivir. Recolectaban frutos silvestres, cazaban, utilizaban el fuego y elaboraban sus primeros utensilios y armas con piedra y hueso. Es el hombre del Neolítico (Edad de piedra antigua) el que inicia la práctica de la domesticación de los animales y el cultivo de la tierra. Sus utensilios fueron de piedra pulida y eran más resistentes. Inventaron la cerámica y el tejido de prendas domésticas. El cultivo de la tierra obligó a que el hombre abandonara su vida nómada. La existencia más sedentaria facilitó que los grupos humanos crecieran y formaran sociedades con una organización cada vez más compleja. El hombre del Neolítico, al abandonar los refugios naturales que ofrecían cuevas y cavernas, se obligó a construir su propia habitación para sobrevivir. Esta iniciativa técnica inauguró también el oficio ingenieril. Con ella el hombre se vio con más capacidad y elementos para dominar el medio ambiente. A través de la observación, los constructores primitivos descubrieron de manera natural las leyes más simples de la estabilidad de las estructuras y la resistencia de materiales. Haciendo uso de su ingenio comenzaron a construir, además de sus viviendas, fortificaciones, barreras, puentes, diques y canales, que con el paso del tiempo se han ido mejorando.
