Abstract

La energía oceánica es inmensa, el planeta está cubierto de agua, y los océanos es un fuente inagotable de energía, sin embargo el aprovechamiento de esta no ha sido explotado, hasta este momento son contados los países que se interesan en esta energía; la energía undimotriz y la energía mareomotriz, mientras una aprovecha el comportamiento de las olas, la otra aprovecha las mareas, estas dos diferentes energías se mencionaran en el contenido, además de los países que cuentan con tecnología para el aprovechamiento de esta, cuales son los avances a los que han llegado y las dificultades a las que se han visto afectados. México es un país con los recursos necesarios para el aprovechamiento de energía undimotriz, aunque empresas extranjeras se ha interesado en la energía mareomotriz, esto en el mar de Cortez y el canal de Cozumel, sin embargo en este escrito se menciona una tecnología no convencional mexicana en su totalidad, su nombre es Proyecto Neptuno, esta tecnología, creada por el ingeniero Andrés Zamora, ha sido estudiada en el laboratorio de hidráulica de la UMSNH y presentada en esta tesis con el fin de conocer más a detalle el funcionamiento de este dispositivo así como el mejoramiento de este.
