Propuesta de instalación de una planta de elaboración de mezcla asfáltica en caliente, en la localidad de Puruándiro Michoacán

Abstract

There is a growing demand in the construction and maintenance of roads in the state of Michoacán. Mainly in the Bajio area, next to the state of Guanajuato, the market of asphalt mixtures production does not satisfy this demand, the present study shows a proposal to promote the installation of a hot asphalt mixing plant belonging to the government of the state of Michoacán, in order to attend this situation of the production of asphalt mix and support the rehabilitation and construction of pavement projects in the State. The content of this study shows the description of the asphalt plant, which was manufactured by ADM (Asphalt Drum Mixers) of the SPL series, with a production capacity of approximately 60 to 110 tons per hour, it is a continuous production plant and it works with parallel flow. It also shows the planning of the project in general for its installation, defining a location that had the optimal conditions that are required for a plant, verifying that it will have good accessibility to enter to the work area and that there will be enough space to place all the parts and be able to perform the necessary processes in production. For this, there were some visits to the plant, during the dismantling, transport, and installation of the plant, the equipment, the components and parts that involve all of this. Also this study, report the probes during the operation that were necessary in the installation, as well as the necessary materials and the design of the asphalt mixture, including a study on the material banks near the area, this to be able to select the stone aggregates that would be suitable to the mixture, the asphalt cement and the alternative fuel that will be proposed for the production of the mixture and the operation of the plant.

Existe una creciente demanda en la construcción y mantenimiento de las carreteras en el Estado de Michoacán. Principalmente en la zona del bajío, colindante con el Estado de Guanajuato, donde actualmente el mercado productor de mezclas asfálticas no satisface dicha demanda, el presente estudio muestra una propuesta para impulsar la instalación de una planta de elaboración de mezcla asfáltica en caliente perteneciente al gobierno del estado de Michoacán, con el fin de atender dicha situación sobre la producción de mezcla asfáltica y apoyar a los proyectos de rehabilitación y construcción de pavimentos en el estado. El contenido de este trabajo muestra la descripción de la planta asfáltica, la cual fue fabricada por ADM (Asphalt Drum Mixers) de la serie SPL, con una capacidad de producción de 60 a 110 toneladas por hora, es una planta de producción continua y trabaja con flujo paralelo. Se indica también la planeación del proyecto en general para su instalación, definiendo una localización que tuviera las condiciones óptimas que se requieren para una planta, verificando que contara con una buena accesibilidad para ingresar a la zona de trabajo y que se encontrara espacio suficiente para colocar las partes que la conforman y pudiera así realizar los procesos necesarios en la producción. Para esto, se realizaron visitas de campo durante el desmantelamiento, transporte, colocación e instalación de la planta, los equipos, los componentes y piezas que la conforman. También se reportan las pruebas de operación que fueron necesarias durante la instalación, así como los materiales necesarios y el diseño de la mezcla asfáltica, incluyendo un estudio sobre los bancos de material cercanos a la zona, esto para poder seleccionar los agregados pétreos que resultaran adecuados a la mezcla, el cemento asfáltico y el combustible alterno que se propondrán para la producción de la mezcla y la operación de la planta.
