Determinación de la resistencia en vigas de gran peralte

Abstract

This document discusses the structural design process to determine the flexural and shear strength of high depth steel beams in accordance with the provisions of the current Regulation of Mexico City of 2017. The purpose of the work is to disseminate the update of the regulations in accordance with the modifications that have been presented in the standard in response to the requirements that arise due to the accelerated transformation of technology in these times. The objective of the work is to explain in a very simple way the structural design process by means of flowcharts, where the requirements established in said standards are summarized, so that the reader understands the process more immediately. The use of flowcharts is applied to simple examples that provide more information on the structural calculation of high depth steel beams and their uses.

En el presente documento se habla del proceso de cálculo estructural para determinar la resistencia a flexión y cortante de vigas de acero de gran peralte de acuerdo a lo establecido en el Reglamento vigente de la ciudad de México del 2017. La finalidad del trabajo es diseminar la actualización de la normativa conforme a las modificaciones que se han presentado en la norma en respuesta a los requerimientos que van surgiendo por la acelerada transformación de la tecnología en estos tiempos. El objetivo del trabajo es explicar de manera muy simple el proceso de diseño estructural por medio de diagramas de flujo, donde se resumen los requerimientos establecidos en dichas normas, para que el lector capte de manera más inmediata el proceso. El uso de los diagramas de flujo se aplica a ejemplos simples que brindan mayor información sobre el cálculo de las trabes armadas y su utilización.
