Estudio anatómico y botánico de: Dalbergia congestiflora Pittier, D. granadillo Pittier y D. calycina Benth

Abstract

Introducing botanic, macroscopic and microscopic anatomical description of three wood species of the genus Dalbergia of the family Fabaceae-Faboideae, from the state of Michoacán, which are D. congestiflora Pittier (Campincheran), D. granadillo Pittier (Granadillo) y D. calycina Benth (Rosa Mexicana). For each species it presents a detailed description that includes: common names, geographic distribution, habitat, detailed botanic description of the tree and their bark, macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of the Wood, density and local applications. The descriptions are illustrated through photographs from the tree, the bark, leaves, fruits, flowers, and timbers of the three representatives cuts (radial, tangential, and cross-section), as well as the three histologic and disassociated material cuts. The purpose of the study is to contribute to the incipient knowledge of the anatomical structure of the Dalbergias wood from Mexico.

Se presenta la descripción botánica, así como anatómica macroscópica y microscópica de la madera de tres especies del género Dalbergia; D. congestiflora Pittier (Campincheran), D. granadillo Pittier (Granadillo) y D. calycina Benth (Rosa Mexicana), de la familia Fabaceae- Faboideae, procedentes del estado de Michoacán. Para cada una de las especies se presenta una descripción detallada que incluye: nombres comunes, distribución, hábitat, descripción botánica detallada del árbol y corteza. Características macroscópicas y microscópicas de la madera, densidad y usos locales. Las descripciones se ilustran mediante fotografías del árbol, corteza, hojas, frutos, flores, tablillas de los tres cortes representativos (transversal, radial y tangencial), así como también de los tres cortes histológicos y material disociado. El propósito del estudio es contribuir al incipiente conocimiento de la estructura anatómica de la madera de Dalbergias de México.
