Abstract: To establish a model of secular state is not a guarantee to have an effective enjoyment of religious freedom; the present work seeks to value the model of secular state in Mexico. Although religious doctrines have been present during the history of mankind, the relations between them have changed since the State had to assume indifferent positions because of failed confessionalities. This social and human rights evolution growing requires the commitment of the State to foster social openness towards religion pluralism.
