Caracterización de la suela de la media bota de combate, utilizada por personal del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea Mexicanos, a través de su reformulación química para mejorar sus propiedades físicas

Abstract

The Mexican Army and Air Force whose mission: to defend the integrity and sovereignty of the nation, promote health, aid to civilians in cases of public needs, disaster assist in maintaining order, help people and property and reconstruction of affected areas; these institutions must be organized, trained and equipped according to the requirements claiming compliance with these. To fulfill its missions, the military transports commonly walk, especially in hard to reach places. The duration of these missions ranging from one month to six months, during which the military does not receive any supplies or equipment locker, just food and ammunition. The boots in current use are used in extreme climatic and geographical conditions; in the desert, mountain and jungle. The average combat boot features a leather upper cut and a plastic sole being this the most limiting its lifetime, because it is the part that is subjected to a greater effect of effort and tear. Given the working conditions of combat boots the poor durability That situation is observed and that do not meet the needs of the military, as with normal use render third work than expected, causing risk to personnel and high costs of equipment. This shoe is produced in the "Garment Factories and Equipment Mexican Army and Air Force" (FAVE), where raw materials are purchased as: leather, adhesives, lace, and the sole among info:eu-repo/semantics/others, the latter is acquired based on technical specifications of the laboratories of the industrial complex and international standards. It was observed that the sole acquired specifically had no durability and performance, so a study and analysis for chemical reformulation begins, in order to characterize the sole, and achieve favorable physical properties to be used under the conditions and varied activities of military life, and thus the result in economic or cost aspect, because as government institution is given a certain budget, so that increasing the durability, the amount of footwear produced.

El Ejército y Fuerza Aérea Mexicanos tiene como misiones: defender la integridad y soberanía de la nación, garantizar la seguridad interior, auxiliar a la población civil en casos de necesidades públicas, en caso de desastre prestar ayuda para el mantenimiento del orden, auxilio de personas y sus bienes y la reconstrucción de zonas afectadas; estas instituciones deben ser organizadas, adiestrados y equipados conforme a los requerimientos que reclame el cumplimiento de éstas. Para el cumplimiento de sus misiones el militar comúnmente se trasporta a pie, sobre todo en lugares de difícil acceso. La duración de estas misiones varía de un mes a medio año, tiempo durante el cual el militar no recibe ningún abastecimiento de vestuario ni equipo, solo alimentos y municiones. Las botas de uso actual son empleadas en condiciones climatológicas y geográficas extremas; en el desierto, montaña y selva. La media bota de combate se compone de un corte superior de cuero, y una suela de material plástico siendo ésta la que más limita su vida útil, debido a que es la parte que está sometida a un mayor efecto de esfuerzo y desgarre. Dadas las condiciones de trabajo de las botas de combate se observa la poca durabilidad que estas presentan y que no cumplen con las necesidades de los militares, dado que con un uso normal de trabajo rinden un tercio de lo esperado, generando riesgo para el personal y costos elevados de equipamiento. Este calzado se produce en las “Fábricas de Vestuario y Equipo del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea Mexicanos” (FAVE), donde se adquieren las materias primas como: piel, adhesivos, agujeta, y la suela entre otros, esta última se adquiere en base a especificaciones técnicas de los laboratorios del complejo industrial y por normatividad internacional.
