Mejoramiento de imagen urbana del barrio de San Juan, ubicado en el centro histórico de Morelia Michoacán

Abstract

The San Juan neighborhood is one of the oldest in the city of Morelia; He bears this name in honor of San Juan Bautista, "the greatest of those born", (according to Catholicism); In it are different types of buildings, as well as different land uses ranging from the commercial to the housing. This neighborhood now belongs to the Revolution sector, is part of the Historic Center; The San Juan neighborhood has been affected by the passage of time, as well as by various socio -economic factors, which have affected the typology of existing construction and have even modified it. These factors greatly affect the entire city of Morelia; An example of this is reflected in the intervention that the facades have, in which part of the identity of the individual that inhabits it is shown and that often breaks with its environment.

El barrio de san Juan, es uno de los más antiguos de la ciudad de Morelia; lleva este nombre en honor a san Juan Bautista, “el mayor de los nacidos”, (según el catolicismo); en él se ubican diferentes tipologías de edificios, así como distintos usos de suelo que van desde el comercial al habitacional. Este Barrio, ahora pertenece al sector Revolución, forma parte del centro histórico; el barrio de san Juan, se ha visto afectado por el paso del tiempo, así como por diversos factores socioeconómicos, los cuales han afectado la tipología de la construcción existente e incluso la han modificado. Estos factores afectan en gran medida a toda la ciudad de Morelia; un ejemplo de esto se ve reflejado en la intervención que las fachadas tienen, en las cuales se muestra parte de la identidad del individuo que la habita y que muchas veces rompe con su entorno.
