Abstract

The UMSNH Language Department was founded in 1973 when the University Planning Commission proposed to the University's rectory the creation of the Science, Engineering and Humanities Unit with their respective divisions and departments. In the beginning it would be part of the engineering division and depend directly on its coordination.

El Departamento de Idiomas de la UMSNH se fundó en 1973 cuando la Comisión de Planeación Universitaria propuso a la Rectoría de la Universidad la creación de la Unidad de Ciencias, Ingeniería y Humanidades con sus respectivas Divisiones y Departamentos. En sus inicios formaría parte de la División de Ingenierías y dependería directamente de su Coordinación.
