Abstract

Throughout human history, there has been a disparity in social functioning, opening a gender gap, reaching such points where it is empowered by the man and the woman subordinate. But times change and at the same time so do societies, and their way of seeing the world, changing the way in which individuals comprising relate. In the new global strategies aimed at developing nations, it is recognized that there can be no productive transformation and democratization whether discrimination exists and is a marked factor. Women in Mexico and around the world have been the target of attacks and deprivation of their rights that prevent the full development of societies, however thanks to the changes that have emerged in the collective thinking women have a more active role in the labor market and political. The Mexican government to be responsible for protecting the interests and welfare of its population, creates a public body, the National Institute of Women, first body created for the promotion, protection and dissemination of the rights of women and girls, then the Michoacán Institute for Women and this in turn as a form of decentralization born INSTITUTE of WOMEN Moreliana (imum), created to ensure a better quality of life and their families Morelianas arises, opening its doors also for men. This institution is located in the historic center of the city of Morelia, Michoacán.

A lo largo de la historia del hombre, ha existido una disparidad en el funcionamiento social, abriendo una brecha entre los géneros, llegando a tales puntos en los que se empoderaba al hombre y se subordinaba a la mujer. Sin embargo los tiempos cambian y al mismo tiempo lo hacen las sociedades, y su forma de concebir el mundo, modificando la forma en la que se relacionan los individuos que la conforman. En las nuevas estrategias mundiales enfocadas al desarrollo de las naciones, se reconoce, que no puede existir una transformación productiva y una democratización si la discriminación es un factor existente y marcado. Las mujeres en México como en el mundo han sido el blanco de agresiones y privaciones de sus derechos que impiden el pleno desarrollo de las sociedades, sin embargo gracias a los cambios que han surgido en el pensamiento colectivo las mujeres han tenido un papel más activo en el mercado laboral y político. El gobierno Mexicano al ser el responsable de velar por los intereses y el bienestar de su población, crea un organismo público, El Instituto Nacional de la Mujer, primer organismo creado para la promoción, protección y difusión de los derechos de las mujeres y de las niñas, posteriormente surge el Instituto Michoacano de la Mujer y de este a su vez como forma de descentralización nace EL INSTITUTO DE LA MUJER MORELIANA (IMUM), creado para garantizar una mejor calidad de vida de las Morelianas y sus familias, abriendo sus puertas también para los hombres. Esta institución se localizada en el centro histórico de la ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán.
