Re funcionalización de la antigua estación de ferrocarril en Zitácuaro Michoacán

Abstract

Almost a century, our population, lived listening to the sound of the machines rail her whistle was heard in the entire population, both when it began its journey towards Maravatio daily, in the morning as he returned in the afternoon. Until recently this service was suspended at its unprofitable operation, and because very few people to use it and flood the roads in the town of Zirahuato. Over the years in the town of Zitácuaro railway station remained forgotten deteriorate until an operation was performed to restore just a building that is part of the resort mountain.

El 14 de junio de 1897, se inauguró el servicio de transporte ferroviario, que enlazaba a los municipios de Zitácuaro, Ocampo, Angangueo, Aporo, y Maravatio, con el sistema ferroviario nacional, facilitándose con ello, el transporte de productos, materia prima y pasajeros así como la comunicación con otras regiones del estado y del país, pues en ese entonces no se contaba con carreteras que las uniera. Casi un siglo, nuestra población, vivió escuchando el sonido de las máquinas de ferrocarril, su silbato se escuchaba en toda la población, tanto a la hora que iniciaba su trayecto diario hacia Maravatio, en la mañana como a su regreso por la tarde. Hasta hace algunos años se suspendió este servicio por lo incosteable de su operación, pues ya muy poca gente hacia uso de él y por la inundación de las vías en la población de Zirahuato. Con el paso de los años en el municipio de Zitácuaro la estación de ferrocarril quedo olvidada deteriorándose, hasta que se realizó una intervención para restaurar solo un edificio que forma parte de este complejo de ferrocarril.
