Abstract

Tourism has increased in the past 3 years old, standing in tenth place in the world in terms of international tourist arrivals. On many occasions there is great optimism about the economic impact from this activity has, for this reason I really wonder if this benefit justifies the negative impact they have on the environmental and socio-cultural environment. Tourism is composed of activities, services and industries that result in a travel experience. In most definitions there are common elements, such as displacement outside the place of residence: stay on the target for a certain period of non-permanent time: which includes tourism is both the journey downstream as activities during stay. Whatever the motivations for travel tourism covers services and products created to meet the needs of visitors.

La actividad turística ha incrementado en los últimos 3 años, colocándose en décimo lugar a nivel mundial en términos de llegadas de turistas internacionales. En muchas de las ocasiones existe un gran optimismo por el impacto económico que gracias a esta actividad se tiene, por este motivo me pregunto si este beneficio realmente justifica el impacto negativo que se tienen en el medio ambiental y sociocultural. El turismo está compuesto de actividades, servicios e industrias que traen como consecuencia una experiencia de viaje. En la mayoría de las definiciones existen elementos comunes, como el desplazamiento fuera del lugar de residencia: la estancia en el destino por un periodo determinado de tiempo no permanente: lo que comprende el turismo es tanto el viaje hacia el destino como las actividades realizadas durante la estancia. Cualquiera que sea las motivaciones para viajar el turismo abarca los servicios y productos creados para satisfacer las necesidades de los visitantes.
