En la presente tesis se muestra la investigación y el desarrollo del proyecto arquitectónico “casa cuna en Morelia Michoacán”. La Casa cuna es la institución encargada de brindar atención temporal de cero a seis años de edad. En este nuevo edificio se atenderá, el caso de cada uno de los niños de cualquier situación por la que esté pasando, por lo que se pretende brindarles un espacio confortable que puedan adoptar como suyo. Para resolver la necesidad que se tiene en este momento en la ciudad de una institución del tipo asistencial infantil para niños expósitos, se plantea un proyecto para solucionar este problema donde se atenderán a los niños y niñas menores de 6 años con el objetivo principal de brindar seguridad y un hogar a los menores que se encuentran en situación de abandono, maltrato o cualquier circunstancia que esté afectando en su crecimiento y desarrollo. El proyecto cuenta con espacios, no solo de descanso, sino también de aprendizaje, convivencia y de atención a la salud, estos serán diseñados para que sean favorables para los pequeños. Con la construcción de la casa cuna se pretende solucionar, el 79% de los casos de maltrato, violencia, abuso y abandono de los niños que se tienen detectados en el estado. Ofrecer un servicio formativo asistencial a niños y niñas que se encuentren en condición vulnerable, para optimizar el desarrollo psicosocial que les permita reafirmar su personalidad cimentada en la autoestima y valores universales. Brindar la oportunidad de un hogar que ayudará a su formación física, mental y emocional además de garantizar el bienestar y mejorar la calidad de vida de los menores, propiciando un entorno seguro, el cual les brinde el amor y estímulos necesarios que les permita alcanzar un pleno desarrollo cognitivo, social, emocional.
