Nueva sede del Instituto Mexicano de Investigaciones Cinematográficas y Humanísticas

Abstract

The thesis presents a new headquarters for the Instituto Mexicano de Investigaciones Cinematográficas y Humanisticas (IMICH), the project aims to solve a building that addresses the growth plans for the Institute for the opening of new educational programs offered recently, located in Morelia, on Solidaridad Avenue corner Gobernador Pascual Ortiz Rubio Street. The challenge of the project was to create a better-equipped school that cannot only accommodate more students, but this institute provides community service. Simultaneously with the creation of this project sought to find the relationship between film and architecture, taking several common elements such as space, time and movement. This project proposes to implement them as important contributions to the design.

La tesis presenta una nueva sede para el Instituto Mexicano de Investigaciones Cinematográficas y Humanísticas (IMICH), el proyecto pretende resolver un edificio que afronte el crecimiento que el Instituto planifica por motivo de la apertura de nuevos programas educativos que se ofertan recientemente, localizado en Morelia, Michoacán sobre Av. Solidaridad esquina Gobernador Pascual Ortiz Rubio. El reto del proyecto fue crear una escuela mejor equipada que no solamente pueda albergar un número mayor estudiantes, sino que este instituto brinde servicio a la comunidad. Simultáneamente a la generación de este proyecto se buscó encontrar la relación que existe entre el cine y la arquitectura, teniendo varios elementos comunes como: espacio, tiempo y movimiento. Este proyecto propone implementarlos como aportaciones relevantes en el diseño.
