Abstract

La Seguridad Social Tiene como finalidad garantizar el derecho a la salud, la asistencia médica, la protección de los medios de subsistencia y los servicios sociales necesarios para el bienestar individual y colectivo. El IMSS es un instrumento básico de la seguridad social, establecido como un SERVICIO PÚBLICO de carácter nacional, para todos los trabajadores y sus familias. Dentro del contexto de seguridad social, el IMSS no sólo brinda servicios de salud, también pone a disposición de sus derechohabientes diversas actividades culturales, deportivas, de promoción de la salud, de capacitación y adiestramiento técnico, estas actividades están orientadas a fomentar la salud, prevenir enfermedades y accidentes, y a elevar su nivel de vida; es aquí donde entran los Centros de Seguridad Social, que son el inmueble donde se concentran dichas actividades. El antiguo Centro de Seguridad Social Morelia tuvo que ser desalojado, ya que al ser necesaria la demolición de la torre que albergaba las instalaciones del Hospital General Regional #1, los servicios que se prestaban en este lugar tuvieron que ser reubicados y se optó por utilizar el Centro de Seguridad Social como sede temporal. Ante la contingencia del desalojo del C.S.S. Morelia, se buscaron instalaciones alternas para continuar impartiendo las clases, se rentó un edificio donde desarrollan solo algunas actividades que son las que se pudieron adaptar a lo reducido de los espacios. Por este motivo es que es tan necesario contar con un espacio propio donde puedan realizarse todas las actividades programadas dentro de las prestaciones sociales del instituto y cubrir con la gran demanda que existe actualmente.
