Centro cultural Cuitzeo. Propuesta de reutilización del Exconvento Agustino

Abstract

In the last decade, the cultural space could only be found in a building used exclusively for cultural activities, it was designed and built from the ground up to meet the need for cultural infrastructure. However, this process was counterproductive to the environment so architects opted for the recycling of old buildings. The purpose of this document is merely academic, is intended to propose the reuse of the former convent of the order of the agustinos in Cuitzeo, based on sustainability strategies and pondering the architectural, cultural and socio-historical value of the property.

En la última década, el espacio cultural sólo se podía encontrar en un edificio destinado exclusivamente para uso cultural, este se diseñaba y construía desde cero satisfaciendo la necesidad de infraestructura cultural. Sin embargo, este proceso resultaba contraproducente para el medio ambiente por lo que se optó también por el reciclaje de edificios antiguos. El propósito de este documento es meramente académico, se propone el proyecto de reutilización del ex convento Agustino en Cuitzeo, basándose en estrategias de sustentabilidad ponderando así el valor arquitectónio,cultural e historicosocial del inmueble.
