In the following document, which in order to obtain the title of Architect, presents the thesis proposal of the new Psychiatric Hospital in Morelia, Michoacán, in order to cover the need for spaces and infrastructure, since the current hospital is saturated, in bad Conditions and outdated standards of design by the World Health Organization. The result of the architectural proposal is to create from these spaces a more pleasant place that is better incorporated into the stability and rehabilitation of the patient, which not only fulfills the function of being a place destined for people with mental disorders, but is a place of Moral, social and physical support, leaving aside the traditional but mistaken image of psychiatric hospitals. In order to achieve this, an investigation was carried out in the city's Health and Hospital Infrastructure Department, as well as a bibliographic analysis of this type of buildings, which is shown below.
En el siguiente documento, que para obtener el título de Arquitecto, presenta la propuesta de tesis del nuevo Hospital Psiquiátrico en Morelia, Michoacán, con la finalidad de cubrir la necesidad de espacios e infraestructura, ya que el actual hospital se encuentra saturado, en malas condiciones y desactualizado en cuanto a normas de diseño por la Organización Mundial de la Salud. El resultado de la propuesta arquitectónica es crear de estos espacios un lugar más agradable que se incorpore a mejor la estabilidad y rehabilitación del paciente, que no solo cumpla la función de ser un lugar destinado a personas con trastornos mentales, sino que sea un lugar de apoyo moral, social y físico, dejando de lado la tradicional pero equivocada imagen de los hospitales psiquiátricos. Para lograr lo anterior se realizó una investigación en la Secretaría de Salud e Infraestructura Hospitalaria de la ciudad, así como un análisis bibliográfico sobre éste tipo de edificaciones, el cual se muestra a continuación.
