The older adult, who is sometimes marginalized and vulnerable in his human condition, is a fragile subject, which we must integrate into today's society. Indigence in Mexico is a social, economic and security problem, since people living in these conditions settle in the streets, create their own shelters and communities that coexist in an environment of social inequality, addictions, violation of human rights and even, crimes. In Morelia there is only one shelter for the destitute, that is why we think of this Shelter for the Indigent of the Third Age, with the intention of being regional and of creating spaces so that they can live with dignity and can be reintegrated into society.
El adulto mayor, que en ocasiones es un individuo marginado y vulnerable en su condición humana, es un sujeto frágil, el que debemos integrar a la sociedad actual. La indigencia en México es un problema social, económico y de seguridad, puesto que las personas que viven en esas condiciones se instalan en las calles, crean sus propios refugios y comunidades que conviven en un entorno de desigualdad social, adicciones, violación a derechos humanos e incluso, delitos. En Morelia existe únicamente un albergue para indigentes, es por esto que se piensa en este Albergue para Indigentes de la Tercera Edad, con la intención de ser regional y de crear espacios para que puedan vivir dignamente y se puedan reintegrar a la sociedad.
