Implementación de accesibilidad universal en la Plaza Valladolid, Centro Histórico, Morelia, Mich.

Abstract

The Michoacan University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo through the Master in Advanced Design (MDA), the Specialty in Restoration of Sites and Monuments (ERSYM) and the Bachelor of Architecture, in coordination with the City Hall of the municipality of Morelia through of the Municipal Institute of Planning Morelia (IMPLAN) established a collaboration framework to perform a specific analysis in the territory corresponding to the Historic city center of Morelia Michoacán, where the main problems and needs of the inhabitants were identified and subsequently proposed proposals were made for solution through of architectural, urban, landscape and citizen participation strategies. After the diagnosis made to the Historic Center of Morelia, opportunities were identified to contribute to the improvement of the quality of public space and social inclusion, and as part of the solution, it is necessary that the urban and architectural environment, as well as the various services that lend the Historic city center of Morelia, have the right conditions to be used by all people, including those who have limitations. This document addresses the needs and problems identified in relation to the implementation of actions and strategies of universal accessibility within the study area.

La Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo a travez de la Maestría en Diseño Avanzado (MDA) , la Especialidad en Restauración de Sitios y Monumentos (ERSYM) y la Licenciatura en Arquitectura, en coordinación con el H. Ayuntamiento del municipio de Morelia a través del Instituto Municipal de Planeación Morelia (IMPLAN) establecieron un marco de colaboración para realizar un análisis específico en el territorio correspondiente al Centro Histórico de Morelia Michoacán , donde se identificaron las principales problemáticas y necesidades de los habitantes y posteriormente se plantearon propuestas de solución a través de estrategias arquitectónicas, urbanas, paisajísticas y de participación ciudadana. Tras el diagnóstico realizado al Centro Histórico de Morelia, se identificaron oportunidades para contribuir en el mejoramiento de la calidad del espacio público y la inclusión social, y como parte de la solución, es necesario que el entorno urbano y arquitectónico, así como los diversos servicios que se prestan el Centro Histórico de Morelia, tenga las condiciones adecuadas para ser utilizadas por todas las personas, incluyendo aquellas que presentan limitaciones. En el presente trabajo se abordan las necesidades y problemáticas identificadas en relación a la implementación de acciones y estrategias de la accesibilidad universal dentro del área de estudio.
