Activación del sistema nervioso autónomo, en estudiantes de físico matemáticas, al resolver problemas en el área preferente y no preferente (física o matemáticas)

Abstract

Through the Physical and Mathematical Sciences a great number of aspects are dealt with directly and indirectly, interacting with other disciplines at a more fundamental level and contributing to the development of other branches of the sciences, such as health, psychology, sociology and education, among others. In the present work, different areas are addressed: Educational, regarding the physiological response to the application of questionnaires and the type of variables that condition the response. Physiological, in terms of the analysis of electrocardiographic signals that provide us with indicators on the functioning of the autonomic nervous system, through the frequencies present in the variations of the cardiac periods, evaluated beat to beat (a phenomenon known as variability of heart rate). Psychological, regarding the relevance of subjective variables that, when considered, raise patterns in the type of physiological response to attend knowledge assessments. Sociological, regarding the gender differences that can arise in the educational process, since there are different reactions in men and women. With this, we hope to contribute to the promotion and strengthening of the development of interdisciplinary works, where Physical - Mathematical Sciences interact with other areas of knowledge, such as those mentioned above. It is an invitation to deepen the interrelation that exists between all manifestations of human development.

A través de las Ciencias Físico - Matemáticas se abordan directa e indirectamente un gran número de aspectos, interactuando con otras disciplinas a nivel más fundamental y contribuyendo al desarrollo de otras ramas de las ciencias, como salud, psicología, sociología y educación, entre otras. En el presente trabajo se abordan diferentes áreas: Educativa, en cuanto a la respuesta fisiológica a la aplicación de cuestionarios y el tipo de variables que condicionan dicha respuesta. Fisiológica, en cuanto al análisis de señales electrocardiográficas que nos proporcionan indicadores sobre el funcionamiento del sistema nervioso autónomo, a través de las frecuencias presentes en las variaciones de los periodos cardiacos, evaluados latido a latido (fenómeno conocido como variabilidad de la frecuencia cardiaca). Psicológica, en cuanto a la relevancia de variables subjetivas que, al considerarse, hacen surgir patrones en el tipo de respuesta fisiológica al atender evaluaciones de conocimientos. Sociológica, en cuanto a las diferencias de género que pueden presentarse en el proceso educativo, ya que hay reacciones diferentes en hombres y mujeres. Con ello, esperamos contribuir a la promoción y fortalecimiento del desarrollo de trabajos interdisciplinarios, donde las Ciencias Físico – Matemáticas interactúan con otras áreas del conocimiento, como las antes señaladas. Es una invitación a profundizar en la interrelación que existe entre todas las manifestaciones de desarrollo humano.
