It is presented the analytical and numerical study for the t→ cg decay in the context of the Standard Model in Five Dimensions, where the contributions of new charged scalar fields are considered. It is found that the associated amplitude is gauge invariant and is free of ultraviolet divergences. At the limit of small compactification scale (at very high energy), R, the numerical analysis of the corresponding decay width tell us that the new physics effects are of decoupling nature. It finds that the contribution of the Kaluza-Klein charged scalar fields to the decay width of the t→ cg process is suppressed with respect to the Standard Model contribution in around 8 orders of magnitude.
