Zaratustra: portal al superhombre

Abstract

The text that will be presented here is an assortment of thoughts revolving around Nietzsche’s Thus Spoke Zarathustra concerned primarily with exploring the ethical implications of the gospel of the “Overman” (Übermensch) that is presented by the character of Zarathustra. From this point of origin, I take on the task of defining a working concept of hope within the prophet himself, while attempting to remain coherent with the project of the Overman; this specific quality of hope, which seemingly goes against nietzschean theory, takes on a new meaning far detached from a metaphysical desire, and indeed becomes a transvalued hope. The application of this concept provides further avenues of study, including how Zarathustra’s role does not fit so easily within molds that appear well-defined by his own gospel; at times suffering, and eventually unchained, Zarathustra’s transformation takes place along the journey. In spite of being addled by non-overman qualities, Zarathustra is not only able to transmit the gospel of the Overman as a prophet, but he also takes on the mantle of teacher and insurgent: a noxious seed and a triple threat to his adversaries, a gateway that incites info:eu-repo/semantics/others to walk the path of the Overman; a Portal.

El texto presentado a continuación es una colección de pensamientos alrededor de Así Habló Zaratustra de Nietzsche, enfocado principalmente con explorar las implicaciones éticas del evangelio del superhombre (Übermensch) que es presentado por el personaje de Zaratustra. Desde este punto de partida, tomo la iniciativa por definir un concepto funcional de esperanza hacia el interior del profeta mismo, manteniendo siempre la intención de ser coherente con el proyecto del superhombre; esta cualidad específica de esperanza, que aparentemente va en contra de la teoría nietzscheana, toma un nuevo significado arrancado de cualquier deseo metafísico, y en efecto se revela como una esperanza transvalorada. La aplicación de este concepto provee subsecuentes avenidas de estudio, entre ellas la noción de por qué el rol de Zaratustra no encaja de manera fácil dentro de los moldes que aparentan estar ya bien definidos en su propio evangelio; a veces como sufriente y eventualmente como un individuo desencadenado, la transformación de Zaratustra se lleva a cabo a lo largo de la trama. A pesar de ser asediado por múltiples cualidades de un no-superhombre, Zaratustra no sólo es capaz de transmitir el evangelio del superhombre en tanto profeta, sino también toma la labor de pedagogo e insurgente: una semilla venenosa y una triple amenaza para sus adversarios, un escaparate que incita a los otros a caminar el camino del superhombre: un Portal.
