Génesis del concepto de genio romántico en Novalis

Abstract

The present research is a reflection about the Genius concept in the romantic age. Based on bibliography of experts authors of romanticism we will take one of the many ways that exist in order to understand this concept; the poet Novalis will be the main author and from which will be developed highlighting the following points: we will introduce in a general manner what is the romanticism, at what point in the story is located and an introduction to our author, after that we will be exposed briefly two fundamental authors for the development of the genius concept, this authors are Kant and Schopenhauer; philosophers who are interested in developing, each one in their own way and in their time, the importance and features that make up the genius; finally we will develop two relevant concepts that integrate genius as are the imagination faculty and the training concept. This reflection will bring us closer to the idea that Novalis had of genius that is expressed in his poetry.

La siguiente investigación es una reflexión sobre el concepto de Genio en la época romántica. Apoyándonos en bibliografía de autores conocedores del romanticismo, tomaremos uno de los múltiples caminos que existen para poder comprender este concepto; el poeta Novalis será el autor principal y a partir del cual se desarrollará la tesis destacando los siguientes puntos: presentaremos de manera general lo que es la modernidad y el romanticismo, en qué punto de la historia se ubica y una introducción a nuestro autor; después se expondrá de manera breve a dos autores fundamentales para el desarrollo del concepto de genio que son Kant y Schopenhauer; filósofos a quienes les interesa desarrollar, cada uno a su manera y en su época, la importancia y características que conforman al genio; para finalizar con dos elementos relevantes que integran al genio como son la facultad de imaginación y el concepto de formación. Esta reflexión nos acercará a la idea que tenía el poeta Novalis del concepto de genio, que podrá ser apreciado en su poesía.
