Abstract

This work is focused on the causes and treatment of breast carcinoma in dogs, it may be caused by age, race, exogenous hormone therapy, nutritional and environmental factors, treatment also addresses based Vincristine. It comes to surgery as the treatment of cancer and adjuvant chemotherapy as another opportunity to improve the quality of life of the patient suffering from this condition. To carry out this work 6 female of a different race, weight and age were used; to which excised carcinoma by simple mastectomy, and partial; 3 of the 6 females was applied an anti-tumor treatment (vincristine), and at 6 females underwent subsequent necropsy. At 3 females who were administered the adjuvant showed no growth at the site of surgery or other glands. The opposite of the other 3 females, which did show growth in the area of ​​surgery, and in some glands. the success of adjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of breast carcinoma in females who were treated with surgery and Vincristine is confirmed. At 3 females who were administered vincristine blood count was performed for evaluation of treatment as well as the effects caused in the patient; treatment was applied once a week for a month.

El carcinoma es un neocrecimiento maligno formado por células epiteliales que tiende a infiltrar los tejidos circundantes y a producir metástasis a distancia. El presente trabajo está enfocado a las causas y tratamiento del carcinoma mamario en perras, mismo que puede ser causado por la edad, raza, terapia hormonal exógena, factores nutricionales y ambientales, también se aborda el tratamiento a base de Vincristina. Se presenta a la cirugía como el tratamiento del carcinoma y a la quimioterapia adyuvante como otra posibilidad de mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente que sufre este padecimiento. Para llevar a cabo este trabajo se utilizaron 6 hembras de diferente raza, peso y edad; a las cuales se les extirpó el carcinoma por medio de mastectomías simples, y parciales; a 3 de las 6 hembras se les aplicó un tratamiento antitumoral (Vincristina), y a las 6 hembras se les practicó su posterior necropsia. A las 3 hembras que se les aplicó el tratamiento adyuvante no presentaron ningún crecimiento en el lugar de la cirugía, ni en el resto de las glándulas. Lo contrario de las otras 3 hembras, que sí presentaron crecimiento en la zona de la cirugía, y en algunas glándulas. Se confirma el éxito de la quimioterapia adyuvante en el tratamiento del carcinoma mamario en las hembras que se trataron con cirugía y Vincristina. A las 3 hembras que se les aplicó tratamiento con Vincristina se les realizó Biometría Hemática para la evaluación del tratamiento, así como los efectos que causara en el paciente; el tratamiento se aplicó una vez por semana durante un mes.
