Tuberculosis bovina y su impacto en los animales

Abstract

In the present work, a bibliographic review of bovine tuberculosis, an infectious-contagious bacterial disease in ruminants caused by Mycobacterium bovis, was carried out. Many researchers tell us that since the cycles 3,700 years BC, this disease was discovered in Egyptian mummies, but other researchers made a discovery that animals from the Paleolithic period had the disease. In the 19th century, those who died from tuberculosis were described as suffering from "heartbreak", this disease with worldwide distribution is characterized by weakness, anorexia, dyspnea, emaciation, fluctuating fever, and dry cough. At present, the importance of this disease in public health is that it is a zoonotic disease that is passed from animals to man and vice versa. In the economic importance, both the producer and the country where we find it have a great economic loss. In the commercial strategies it is said that the animals that are infected, their meat, their milk or their products and by-products cannot be commercialized to a state that is free of this disease, since it is about preventing bovine tuberculosis from spreading. to man and other susceptible animals. In the present work it is to collect information to observe how the disease is in our country since it was discovered to date and what is being done about it.

En el presente trabajo se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de la tuberculosis bovina enfermedad bacteriana infecto-contagiosa en rumiantes causada por Mycobacterium bovis. Muchos investigadores nos hablan que desde los ciclos 3.700 años AC, fue descubierta dicha enfermedad en las momias egipcias pero otros investigadores hicieron un descubrimiento que en los animales del periodo paleolítico tenían la enfermedad. En el siglo XIX, los muertos por tuberculosis eran calificados como padeciendo “mal de amores”, esta enfermedad se de distribución mundial se caracteriza por debilidad anorexia, disnea, emaciación, fiebre fluctuante, y tos seca. En la actualidad la importancia de esta enfermedad en la salud pública es que es una enfermedad zoonotica que se pasa de los animales al hombre y, al contrario. En la importancia económica tanto el productor como el país en donde la encontramos tiene una gran pérdida económica. En las estrategias comerciales se dice que los animales que se encuentran infectados, su carne, su leche ni sus productos y subproductos no pueden ser comercializados a un estado que esté libre de esta enfermedad, ya que se trata de evitar que la tuberculosis bovina se pase al hombre y a otros animales que sean susceptibles. En el presente trabajo es la de recopilar información para observar cómo está la enfermedad en nuestro país desde que se descubrió hasta la fecha y que es lo que se está haciendo al respecto.
