Principales patologías del aparato reproductor de la perra, detectados en el municipio de Morelia, Michoacán

Abstract

The theme of this thesis "Main pathologies of the reproductive apparatus of the dog" is focused on the preservation of the canine species, given that at the moment the pets have reached a high sentimental value for the society. There are canine breeds with high genetic value such as the French bulldog, English bulldog, Yorkshire terrier, to mention a few, in which the intervention of man is so much for its reproduction that different techniques are used to obtain it, which makes that its cost is higher. It is therefore extremely important to know the reproductive problems that occur more frequently in the dog (canis lupus familiaris) and the health consequences that may occur if not treated appropriately. Through visits to different veterinary clinics in the municipality of Morelia, Michoacán collected information for the most appropriate treatments in each of the various pathologies. With this information provided by the veterinarians in charge, we found that the reproductive problems with the highest incidence were: pyometra, transmissible venereal tumor (TVT), ovarian remnant, vaginitis and dystocia

El tema de esta tesis “Principales patologías del aparato reproductor de la perra” se enfoca en la preservación de la especie canina, dado que en la actualidad las mascotas han alcanzado un alto valor sentimental para la sociedad. Existen razas caninas con alto valor genético tales como los bulldog francés, bulldog inglés, Yorkshire terrier, por mencionar algunas, en las cuales es tanta la intervención del hombre para su reproducción que se utilizan distintas técnicas para conseguirlo, lo cual hace que su costo sea mayor. Por ello es de suma importancia conocer los problemas reproductivos que se presentan con mayor frecuencia en la perra (canis lupus familiaris) y las consecuencias de salud que pueden llegar a presentar de no ser tratadas adecuadamente. A través de visitas a distintas clínicas veterinarias en el municipio de Morelia, Michoacán se recabo información para los tratamientos más adecuados en cada una de las diversas patologías. Con esta información proporcionada por los médicos veterinarios encargados, se encontró que los problemas reproductivos de mayor a menor incidencia fueron: piometra, tumor venéreo transmitible (TVT), remanente ovárico, vaginitis y distocias.
