El destete temprano en bovinos de carne

Abstract

However, it is still a worldwide practice in this work based on beef cattle sector of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics , from the Michoacán University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo, it was verified that there are no negative effects when using this practice. Among the most common types of weaning are weaning, voluntary weaning), late weaning (8 to 12 months), normal (6 months), early (3 to 4 months). The results obtained in calves as well as in the wombs reflect that there is no negative effect on any of the parts; on the contrary, it helps to have better productivity indexes in terms of the number of calves produced since, by decreasing the time of lactation, cows regain their body condition more quickly by facilitating this so the cow gets warm again. This practice brings benefits as well as those already mentioned in the calves, a better early ruminal adaptation for the digestion of the native pastures thus making better use of the pastures of the region, as well as better expose their growth potential without taking into account the production of mother's milk.

El deste temprano lo podemos como el proceso o acción de separar al ternero de la madre en un momento de la vida del mismo, terminando de esta manera con el suministro de la leche materna. Es una práctica poco común, por la discordia de los efectos que este puede ocasionar en los terneros, Sin embargo, no deja de ser una práctica a nivel mundial en este trabajo basado en el sector de bovinos de carne de la facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia, de la Universidad Michoacana de san Nicolás de Hidalgo se comprobó que no hay efectos negativos al utilizar esta práctica. Dentro de los tipos de destete más comunes están el destete natural separación voluntaria), destete tardío (8 a 12 meses), Normal (6 meses), temprano (3 a 4 meses). Los resultados plasmados en terneros, así como en los vientres reflejan que no existe ningún efecto negativo en ninguna de las partes, por el contrario, ayuda a tener mejores índices de productividad en cuanto al número de terneros producidos ya que al disminuir los tiempos de lactancia, las vacas recuperan su condición corporal con mayor rapidez facilitando esto que la vaca entre en calor nuevamente. Esta práctica trae como beneficios además de los ya mencionados en los terneros una mejor adaptación ruminal temprana para la digestión de los pastos nativos aprovechando así mejor los pastos de la región, de igual manera exponen mejor su potencial de crecimiento sin tener en cuenta la producción de leche de la madre.
