Siendo estudiante en el nivel medio superior, en el Colegio de Bachilleres de Venustiano Carranza, Michoacán, esta comunidad, también conocida como San Pedro Caro, se vio envuelta en un conflicto político que llamó la atención de la población (independientemente de la edad que se tuviera; ya que al final involucró tanto a niños y a jóvenes como a adultos y ancianos.
