The Center for Studies of the Mexican Revolution Lázaro Cárdenas, A.C., safeguards important documentary funds, these are an inexhaustible source of information, often virgin, for the investigation of social phenomena, since in them the writings that have to shed light on the knowledge of a fact, an event, an event in the history of a people, which manages to be reconstructed through a diligent and meticulous search of the documents that the archives keep. For this reason, this Center has placed special interest in safeguarding the following collections: “Francisco J. Múgica”, “Lázaro Cárdenas”, “CERMLC” (Lázaro Cárdenas Center for the Study of the Mexican Revolution), “Ing. “Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas”, “Dolores García” (from the Jiquilpan Indigenous Community, 19th century), “Lic. Antonio Arriaga”, “Amalia Solórzano”, “Elena Vázquez Gómez”, “Laura Bosques”, “Jesús Ceja”, among others, which together add up to around 300,000 documents; The indices of these have already been prepared, to put them at the service of the national and foreign researchers who consult them. With the purpose of continuing with the work of disseminating the documentary collections that the Center guards and fulfilling the commitment to safeguard, study and disseminate the content of the documentary collections, today I am in charge of the General Francisco J. Múgica Fund, putting only part of the catalog is available to scholars and researchers in the social sciences, because it is necessary to work in stages and today I have decided to refer only to the correspondence between Generals Fco. J. Múgica and Lázaro Cárdenas in the 1920s- 1954.
El Centro de Estudios de la Revolución Mexicana Lázaro Cárdenas, A.C., resguarda importantes fondos documentales, éstos son una fuente inagotable de información, muchas veces virgen, para la investigación de los fenómenos sociales, pues en ellas se encuentran dormidos y ocultos los escritos que han de dar luz sobre el conocimiento de un hecho, un suceso, un acontecimiento de la historia de un pueblo, que logra reconstruirse mediante una búsqueda acuciosa y minuciosa de los documentos que guardan los archivos. Por ello este Centro ha puesto especial interés en resguardar los siguientes fondos: “Francisco J. Múgica”, “Lázaro Cárdenas”, “CERMLC” (Centro de Estudios de la Revolución Mexicana Lázaro Cárdenas), “Ing. “Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas”, “Dolores García” (de la Comunidad Indígena de Jiquilpan, siglo XIX), “Lic. Antonio Arriaga”, “Amalia Solórzano”, “Elena Vázquez Gómez”, “Laura Bosques”, “Jesús Ceja”, entre otros, que en su conjunto suman alrededor de 300,000 documentos; de éstos ya se tiene elaborados los índices, para ponerlos al servicio de los investigadores nacionales y extranjeros que los consultan. Con el propósito de continuar con la labor de difusión de los acervos documentales que custodia el Centro y cumpliendo con el compromiso de resguardar, estudiar y divulgar el contenido de los fondos documentales, hoy me ocupo del Fondo del General Francisco J. Múgica, poniendo al alcance de los estudiosos e investigadores de las ciencias sociales sólo una parte del catálogo, debido a que es necesario trabajar por etapas y hoy he decidido solo referirme a la correspondencia entre los generales Fco. J. Múgica y Lázaro Cárdenas de los años de 1920-1954.
