One of the most important stages in the process of organizing documentary collections is the Documentary Description, and it must be understood as the methodological application of archival science that contains all the elements in the professional organization of archives to then describe them at different levels. , respecting and protecting the principles of Origin and Original Order. With this objective and with the purpose of obtaining the Bachelor's Degree in History, I have decided to prepare a Documentary Catalog on one of the important documentary Series that is kept and guarded in the General and Historical Archive of the Executive Power; specifically we will deal with the Series: Hijuelas of the District of Ario de Rosales; belonging to the Fund: Secretary of Government, Section: Government, covering the years from 1869 to the beginning of 1908. For this, a total of 446 documents were analyzed and described, contained in books one and two of the District of Ario de Rosales. Elaborating a total of 830 cards, covering the requirement indicated by the Regulation of Titration of the Faculty of History, which establishes that 500 cards must be covered. In said Documentary Catalog, documents referring to the land distribution process of the indigenous communities of the Ario de Rosales District, corresponding to the previously mentioned years, were described.
Una de las etapas más importantes dentro del proceso de organización de los acervos documentales es la Descripción documental, y debe entenderse como la aplicación metodológica de la ciencia archivística que contiene todos los elementos en la organización profesional de los archivos para entonces describirlos en sus diferentes niveles, respetando y protegiendo los principios de Procedencia y de Orden Original. Con dicho objetivo y con el propósito de obtener el Título de Licenciado en Historia, he decidido elaborar un Catálogo Documental sobre una de las Series documentales importantes que se resguardan y custodian en el Archivo General e Histórico del Poder Ejecutivo; específicamente trataremos la Serie: Hijuelas del Distrito de Ario de Rosales; perteneciente al Fondo: Secretaría de Gobierno, Sección: Gobernación, abarcando los años de 1869 hasta principios de 1908. Para ello, se analizaron y describieron un total de 446 documentos, contenidos en los libros uno y dos del Distrito de Ario de Rosales. Elaborándose un total de 830 fichas, cubriendo con el requisito señalado por el Reglamento de Titulación de la Facultad de Historia, el cual establece que deberán cubrirse 500 fichas. En dicho Catálogo Documental, se describieron documentos referentes al proceso de reparto de tierras de las comunidades indígenas del Distrito de Ario de Rosales, correspondiente a los años anteriormente señalados.
