Las cofradías en la ciudad de Valladolid de Michoacán durante el virreinato

Abstract

This is a historical research about religious confraternities in the city of Valladolid de Michoacan during the viceregal period. Formed by three chapters, in this study we see religious and social aspects of the confraternities in the first of them, due to the fact that the reader will know the date, place and conditions of their foundation, their members, their different religious festivals, their obligations and rights; the second part is about the alms in the brotherhoods; and in the last chapter is contained the relative to their economy and possessions. The appendix and the graphic attached files show different documents of the confraternities, and this last one contains mostly constitutions and indulgences summaries, which constitute a true artistic legacy.

Esta es una investigación histórica acerca de las cofradías de la ciudad de Valladolid de Michoacán durante el virreinato Conformado por tres capítulos, en este estudio vemos aspectos religiosos y sociales de las cofradías en el primero de ellos, pues el lector podrá advertir la fecha, lugar y condiciones de su fundación, sus miembros, sus diferentes festividades religiosas, sus obligaciones y Derechos; en el segundo apartado se trata de las limosnas de las hermandades; y en el último capítulo se contiene lo relativo a su economía y posesiones. En el apéndice y anexo gráfico se pueden apreciar distintos documentos de las cofradías, en éste último mayoritariamente patentes y sumarios de indulgencias, los cuales constituyen un verdadero legado artístico.
