The role that the armed forces have played in world societies has historically been very important, whether it is to defend territories, ideology, religion, maintain order, provoke changes in the government or to subdue other peoples and appropriate their assets. In addition, their participation has not been interrupted over time, making them always present in human events. This fact attracted our attention, and thus we valued carrying out an investigation that will be developed along the lines of the history of the civic militia. The history of our country is full of violent episodes in which the population has acted continuously. Before the arrival of the Spanish, there were already conflicts between the natives of our continent, and these problems continued with the arrival of the Europeans. In the 19th century, after the war for Independence from Spain, a reorganization of the State and its institutions arose in Mexico, which were attending to the needs that arose, one of which was to strengthen the peace and social stability of the country, for which a security body is created as was the Civic Militia, which will be our subject of study.
El papel que han tenido las fuerzas armadas en las sociedades del mundo ha sido muy importante históricamente, ya sea para defender territorios, ideología, religión, mantener el orden, provocar cambios en el gobierno o para someter a otros pueblos y apropiarse de sus bienes. Además, su participación no se ha visto interrumpida a través del tiempo, haciendo que siempre estén presentes en el acontecer humano. Este hecho atrajo nuestra atención, y así valoramos realizar una investigación que se desarrollará en las líneas de la historia de la milicia cívica. La historia de nuestro país está llena de episodios violentos en los cuales la población ha actuado de manera continua. Antes de la llegada de los españoles ya se veían conflictos entre los naturales de nuestro continente, y estos problemas continuaron a la llegada de los europeos. En el siglo XIX, a partir de la guerra por la Independencia de España, se suscita en México una reorganización del Estado y sus instituciones, las cuales iban atendiendo a las necesidades que se presentaban, una de esas era fortalecer la paz y estabilidad social del país, por lo cual se crea un órgano de seguridad como lo fue la Milicia Cívica, la cual será nuestro tema de estudio.
