Musas, damas o actrices. Interpretaciones de las mujeres en escena teatral en Morelia 1898-1914

Abstract

The aim of this work is to show the representations and images of women in the theater scene of the city of Morelia in 1968-1914. In which by means of theatrical texts Mariano de Jesus Torres and Gabino Ortiz and the views towards the work of the actress contained in various newspapers of the city is to show the imaginary that was woven around the figure of women and the work performed outside the home, it had to be abide by the moral standards that was impose by that time, showing both ideal model or accepted as the not accepted. Likewise, we contrasted that imposed model that was handled through discourse with the work developed by women in theater for viewing as was assumed in its reality, for which it took into account the role they had inside the theater companies, which can be seen that were different actresses who run their own companies having greater control in the same theater in which no longer only limited to appear on the scene but were integrated into other fields such as stage direction. At the same time, the image they wanted to show to the audience whether by means of portraits and messages of thanks contained in advertisements or newspapers. This way you can see the images and representations of women in the theater scene.

El objetivo del presente trabajo es mostrar las representaciones e imágenes de la mujer en la escena teatral de la ciudad de Morelia de 1968-1914. En el cual por medio de los textos teatrales de Mariano de Jesús Torres y Gabino Ortiz y de las opiniones hacia el trabajo de la actriz contenidas en diversos periódicos de la ciudad se pretende mostrar el imaginario que se tejía en torno a la figura de las mujeres y del trabajo que desempeñaba fuera del hogar, el que tenía que sujetarse a los cánones morales que la época imponía, mostrando el modelo tanto de lo ideal o lo aceptado como el de lo no aceptado. A si mismo contrastamos ese modelo impuesto que se manejaba a través del discurso con el trabajo que desarrollaban las mujeres en la escena teatral para poder visualizar como era asumido en su realidad, para lo cual se tomo en cuenta el papel que tenían ellas dentro de las compañías teatrales, en las cuales se puede apreciar que eran diversas las actrices que dirigían sus propias compañías teniendo mayor dominio dentro del mismo teatro en el cual ya no solo se limitaba a presentarse en escena sino que iban integrándose en otros campos tales como la dirección de escena. Se muestra a su vez la imagen que ellas pretendían mostrar al público ya fuese por medio de los retratos y en los mensajes de agradecimiento contenidos en los anuncios publicitarios o periódicos. De esta forma se pueden apreciar las imágenes y representaciones de la mujer en la escena teatral.
