The work thinks about policies and measures that were applied to Chichimec control during 16th century, and specifically the way that it affected a region Acambaro-Apaseo, towns where a wealthy family had had significant possessions and personal interests. In the chapters, first is developed otomies, tarascoss and Chichimecs’ relation, then is treated a generalization about the war Chichimec and finally the Hernan Perez’s actions in the war work during Chichimec conflict. All these topics take us to the objective of this investigation, that is the knowledge about the Chichimec dispute in this Bajio frontier.
La presente tesina es un análisis en torno a las políticas y medidas aplicadas para el control de los grupos chichimecas durante el siglo XVI, y en concreto de qué manera afectó esto a una región que comprende desde Acámbaro a Apaseo, lugares en donde una familia acaudalada tenía posesiones significativas e intereses a su beneficio. En el desarrollo del trabajo, se desenvuelven las relaciones entre otomís, tarascos y chichimecas, posteriormente se trata una generalización de la guerra chichimeca y finalmente el accionar directo del encomendero Hernán Pérez de Bocanegra dentro de las labores en contra de los grupos considerados hostiles. Todo esto nos lleva a salir avante en nuestro objetivo, que es el entendimiento del conflicto chichimeca en esta frontera del bajío.
