The eastern region of the state of Michoacán has witnessed 2 mining centers that contributed a lot to the extractive industry in Mexico. In particular we refer to Angangueo. Mining was one of the main activities of that place, for the year 1792, the development in the extractive industry began, it should be noted that the production of metals, and was increasing more and more. German investors were among the first to work in the area, there was a demand for labor, production and implementation of new work methods. The war of independence considerably reduced the work, affected the work areas, the labor force was scarce. At the end of the war, English businessmen were the ones who were working the Angangueo mines. It was until 1910, when the American capital, arriving with them, the best stage in such activity, mining was in the hands of the company A.S.A.R.C.O. there was a considerable change in extractive work, with a greater demand for labor and state-of-the-art technology, which helped production to be better than in the previous stages.

La minería fue una de las principales actividades de dicho lugar, para el año de 1792, comienza el desarrollo en la industria extractiva, cabe señalar que la producción de metales, e cada vez iba más al alza. Inversionistas alemanes fueron de los primeros en trabajar la zona, existió demanda de mano de obra, producción e implementación de nuevos métodos de trabajo. La guerra de independencia mermó considerablemente las labores, afectó las zonas de trabajo, la mano de obra escaseó. Al término de la guerra, empresarios ingleses fueron quienes estuvieron trabajando las minas de Angangueo. Fue hasta 1910, cuando el capital estadounidense, llegando con ellos, la mejor etapa en tal actividad, la minería estuvo en manos de la compañía A.S.A.R.C.O. se dio un cambio considerable al trabajo extractivo, existiendo mayor demanda de mano de obra y una tecnología de punta, lo que ayudó a que la producción fuera mejor que en las etapas anteriores.
