The main stock exchanges in the world have their origins in Athens, where merchants met to transact, and with the development of trade markets and fairs were thus leading to commercial operations. It is said that the word bag has its origins in the Middle Ages when the money changers and bankers carried their precious metals in bags or pockets, as well as the name being bag in the sense that we know it today was born. BMV origins date back to 1850 where mining companies negotiated their first equity securities being until 1933 when the statutory law is enacted bags and constitutes the Mexico Stock Exchange SA in 1975 comes into force the Law Market and the bag changed its name to Mexican Stock Exchange. The BMV S.A.B. de C.V. as we know it today is a financial institution that operates by granting the SHCP and whose supreme body is the shareholders, whose board is composed of representatives of brokerage firms, persons of recognized professional prestige and executives related to the system Mexican financial. The following paper describes in general terms the importance of the Mexican Stock Exchange and the impact of certain issuers listed on it, in order to give the reader an overview of the Market.
Las principales bolsas de valores del mundo tienen sus orígenes en Atenas, donde comerciantes se reunían para efectuar sus transacciones, y con el desarrollo del comercio aparecieron mercados y ferias dando así lugar a operaciones mercantiles. Se dice que la palabra bolsa tiene su origen en la edad media cuando los cambistas y banqueros transportaban sus metales preciosos en bolsas o bolsillos, siendo así como surgió la denominación bolsa en el sentido que la conocemos hoy. Los orígenes de la BMV se remontan al año de 1850 donde las empresas mineras negociaron sus primeros títulos accionarios siendo hasta 1933 cuando se promulga la ley reglamentaria de bolsas y se constituye La Bolsa de Valores de México s.a., en 1975 entra en vigor la Ley del Mercado de Valores y la bolsa cambia su denominación a Bolsa Mexicana de Valores. La BMV S.A.B. de C.V. tal como la conocemos hoy es una entidad financiera que opera por concesión de la SHCP y cuyo órgano supremo es la asamblea de accionistas, cuyo consejo de administración está integrado por representantes de casas de bolsa, personas de reconocido prestigio profesional y ejecutivos relacionados con el sistema financiero mexicano. El siguiente trabajo describe de manera general la importancia que tiene la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, así como el impacto que tienen algunas empresas emisoras que cotizan en ella, con la finalidad de que el lector tenga un panorama general del Mercado de Valores.
