In this thesis was investigated the architecture of the city of Morelia in the period of 1960 and 1975, through the intervention of the builders to reveal the role of vocational training in the process of modernization in the local field. That period was architectonically characterized by the testimony of local builders whom narrated, through the instrument of interview, important moments of their academic training, their professional involvement, and their own observations about local architecture; theses testimonies demonstrate the participation of local civil engineers, architects, engineers and architects, in the latter. This investigation is a result of the Master of Architecture, Research and Restoration of Monuments and Sites of the Division of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Architecture at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo, and integrates research about architecture in the twentieth century in Morelia.
En esta tesis se indagó sobre la arquitectura de la ciudad de Morelia entre los años de 1960 y 1975, a través de la intervención de los edificadores para revelar la importancia del papel de la formación profesional dentro del proceso de modernización en este ámbito local. En ella, se caracterizó arquitectónicamente el periodo de estudio tomando como base al testimonio de los edificadores locales que, en entrevista, narraron momentos importantes de su formación, de su participación profesional, y de lo observado en la arquitectura en el ámbito local, quedando así delatada la participación local de ingenieros civiles, arquitectos, e ingenieros-arquitectos. Este trabajo es el resultado de los estudios realizados en la Maestría en Arquitectura, Investigación y Restauración de Sitios y Monumentos de la División de Estudios de Posgrado de la Facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, y se integra a las investigaciones sobre la arquitectura en el siglo XX en Morelia ahí generadas.
