El centro histórico de Morelia desde la percepción de sus habitantes

Abstract

The downtowns are characterized by the variety of functions that take place in it. They are heterogeneous spaces where commercial, administrative, cultural and residential uses, to name a few, are present. However, the housing function in this type of urban spaces in various Mexican cities has weakened, while other functions become stronger as a result of a gradual decrease in the number of inhabitants and unable inefficient public policies to tackle the problem. The work carried out in order to understand the reasons why these heritage areas have been abandoned since the vision of leaving out the technical rate. Therefore, this study aims to identify the related factors, not exit because it is no longer possible to work with those who are gone, but the reasons for, inhabitant to stay in the historic center of Morelia, from perspective thereof. This in order to assist in the formulation of strategies and actions to strengthen the residential use of downtowns and conservation of tangible built heritage.

Los centros históricos se caracterizan por la variedad de funciones que se desarrollan en el. Son espacios heterogéneos donde los usos comerciales, administrativos, culturales y habitacionales, solo por mencionar algunos, se hacen presentes. Sin embargo, la función habitacional en este tipo de espacios urbanos de diversas ciudades mexicanas se ha ido debilitando, mientras otras funciones cobran mayor fuerza, como resultado de una paulatina disminución en el número de los habitantes y de ineficientes políticas publicas incapaces de atacar el problema. Los trabajos realizados con el fin de que entender las razones por las cuales se abandonan estas áreas patrimoniales se han hecho desde la visión del técnico dejando fuera al habitante. Por lo tanto, este trabajo tiene por objetivo identificar los factores relacionados, no con la salida porque ya no es posible trabajar con los que ya no están, pero si? con los motivos de permanencia de los habitantes en el centro histórico de Morelia, desde la perspectiva de estos. Lo anterior con la finalidad de coadyuvar en la formulación de estrategias y acciones que fortalezcan el uso habitacional de los centros históricos y la conservación del patrimonio tangible edificado.
