Representaciones del territorio y el patrimonio en el valle de Tarímbaro: 1921-2018

Abstract

This paper addresses the relationship between heritage and territory through the representations made by the inhabitants of a part of the Tarímbaro Valley, Michoacán. The period considered is from 1921 to 2018, a time period in which a territorial restructuring was carried out due to changes in the jurisdiction of land ownership and land and water use. Although it is true that, the territorial structure of the region was built during the viceroyalty period on a pre-Hispanic basis, it survived during independent Mexico and Porfirism, initiating change processes during the Mexican Revolution and until the formation of the ejidos with the modifications to the agrarian law that gave rise to the new land tenure, causing the transformation of the territorial structure whose historical vestiges we can consider as cultural heritage what is possible to identify in the landscape. In the particular case, reference is made to a group of communities formed with the disintegration of the former estates that currently house the agricultural practices and knowledge that are developed in it. It is through a historical study that includes the scales of the territory, the architecture and the settlement that a critical diagnosis is presented on the identification and assessment that the inhabitants have of the place through their social representations. The research proposed proposes describing the process that has given rise to the current image of the Tarímbaro valley, identifying the transformations it has had over time, particularly after Porfirismo and as a consequence of the Cardenista agrarian reform, through the components related to the spaces and technical-agricultural knowledge, parties and celebrations in a portion of the peri-urban Morelia-Tarímbaro.

El presente trabajo, aborda la relación entre patrimonio y territorio a través de las representaciones realizadas por los habitantes de una parte del valle de Tarímbaro, Michoacán. El periodo considerado es de1921 a 2018, temporalidad en la que se llevó a cabo una reestructuración territorial debido a los cambios de jurisdicción de propiedad de la tierra y de uso del suelo y el agua. Si bien es cierto que, la estructura territorial de la región se construyó durante el periodo virreinal sobre una base prehispánica, esta pervivió durante el México independiente y el Porfirismo, iniciando procesos de cambio durante la Revolución Mexicana y hasta la conformación de los ejidos con las modificaciones a la ley agraria que dieron lugar a la nueva tenencia de tierra, ocasionando la transformación de la estructura territorial cuyos vestigios históricos podemos considerar como patrimonio cultural lo que es posible identificar en el paisaje. En el caso particular se hace referencia a un conjunto de comunidades formadas con la desintegración de las ex haciendas que actualmente albergan las prácticas y saberes agrícolas que se desarrollan en él. Es a través de un estudio histórico que incluye las escalas del territorio, la arquitectura y el asentamiento que se presenta un diagnóstico crítico sobre la identificación y valoración que los habitantes tienen del lugar mediante representaciones sociales del mismo. La investigación que se propone plantea describir el proceso que ha dado lugar a la imagen actual del valle de Tarímbaro identificando las transformaciones que ha tenido a través del tiempo, en particular después del Porfirismo y como consecuencia de la reforma agraria cardenista, a través de los componentes relacionados a los espacios y saberes técnico-agrarios, fiestas y celebraciones en una porción del periurbano Morelia-Tarímbaro.
